About PARANOIA

Our flagship distortion. Reinvent your sounds.
PARANOIA is a wild and versatile distortion effect, inspired by the sounds of 90's industrial music and vintage chiptune gear.
News and Updates
Key Features
Our first version of PARANOIA was added as a free contribution to the Reaper audio workstation software in 2010. Fifteen years in the making, this commercial release is a ground-up rewrite: optimized, extended and improved in every way.
From light "analog" overdrive, to moderate crunch, through to complete waveform annihilation: PARANOIA delivers an expansive sonic palette.
PARANOIA sounds great on drums and guitar, and loves bassy content.
Features include:
- A unique amp-style overdrive, able to add heft to subs and bass, warmth and crunch to drums, and insane damage to heavy guitars.
- A hybrid wave-mangler, with a warm multi-band "preamp" distortion feeding into an incredibly powerful waveshaper.
- A versatile set of unusual filters to sculpt wild tones, including an algorithmic speaker simulation - perfect for weird sounds and "breakout" sections.
- A wavetable LFO, envelope follower, and gate to add motion and movement.
- A comprehensive set of presets, covering territory from subtle tone-shaping, through to practical crunch and overdrive, and on to surprising and unique mix effects.
- A simple but powerful operating model: every plugin control is always visible on the plugin surface, and control ranges have been meticulously optimized for ease of use, and extreme, creative yet usable sounds.
Audio Demos
Downloads
PARANOIA is an effect processor, not an instrument - you'll need a sound source of some kind to run through it.
This software will run in demo mode until registered. While in demo mode, the software will not save presets or settings, and will occasionally make weird noises that are slightly like a robot unsuccessfully trying to say "demo mode".
Use of this software is subject to our Terms and Conditions and End User License Agreement.
